Megan Plays Piano in Sacrement Meeting

Today Megan played a piano duet in Sacrement meeting with her piano teacher. They played “My Heavenly Father Loves Me” by C.W. McMaster. She has been practicing a long time for this. She said she was a little scared and nervous but she got up there and played like a pro. Melissa and I were so impressed and both were crying by the time she was done. Everyone was amazed and commented how well she did and how much it brought the spirit into the meeting. The bishop even called her to tell her how well she did and how much he appreciated her talent. I wish we had a recording of it but you can go to DeFord Music and listen to a recording there.

Great job Megan, we are so proud of you.

Baseball Season Begins

A new season of baseball begins for Logan and Kimball. This year they are on the White Sox and it is machine pitch.

Megan’s 10th Birthday

Well, Megan is 10. It was only yesterday that she was climbing and sitting in the dryer. She has had a great time with her parties. On her birthday, David and Roberta came over for a dinner of Megan’s choosing—hot dogs. Then she had a friends party where we did a ice cream parlor theme.

The video below is of one of the ice cream games they played.

Disneyland, Here We Come

Yes, we are Disney freaks. In just a couple of weeks we will be making that horrible drive to the happiest place on earth.

The last time we went we created a chart to keep track of the amount of days left as well as how much money it actually costs to go there. So, we decided to do it again. The Mickey head is tracking the money portion and the boxes below are for keeping track of the days left (we fill in one box every day until they are all filled).

It certainly isn’t the prettiest thing to look at but it hangs proudly on our fridge. It is also fun for the kids so they see the progress.

Megan’s First B-ball Game

Today was Megan’s first basketball game. At first she didn’t want to do basketball, then Logan and Kimball had their season and she decided she wanted to, so we signed her up. Then the practices started and she has been a little unsure about it. She was telling us she didn’t want to play. Well, we told her too bad and off to the game we went.

I think it was the fear of the unknown because she actually did okay. There is still a lot of things she needs to learn but that is the point of playing. We’ll see how it turns out. I think she will actually start liking it as time goes on.

Sorry about he bad photo, it was the best one I could get with my phone.
